Currently, Math Makes Sense (Pearson) is the core resource for K - 6 instruction in CTTCS, and Math Links (McGraw-Hill/Ryerson) is the resource for Gr 7 - 9. These are available in English and French, and each classroom should have access to a hard copy teacher guide that includes scope and sequence, prerequisite skills, instruction essentials, assessments, games and activities and blackline masters.
Every school has a digital copy of the text as well as blackline masters from the teacher guide. Look in your school's drive under shared resources. If you need help finding these, contact the Division Office.
Math UP Classroom will eventually replace Math Makes Sense and Math Links as our core instructional resource for K - 9 Instruction. Math UP is an entirely digital resource available in French and English, has each grade Saskatchewan curriculum laid out with ready made lessons that span each curriculum. Designed by Marian Small, it is rich in conceptual understanding, differentiation, discussion and reasoning. Each lesson has a "minds on" (introduction/hook/number talk), a lesson that can be projected on Viewboard or linked to digital platform or emailed, discussion tasks and independent tasks, readiness assessment and summative assessments including observation checklists. There are ready-made games and activities, both digital and downloadable/in person games, to accompany every outcome. The program comes with a professional learning library to support teachers in mastering the curriculum content. Math UP licenses are perpetual, and once a teacher is assigned a license, that teacher has access to content at every grade. CTTCS offers licenses to teachers every year, both English and French.

Leaps and Bounds is a Tier 1 and 2 resource. It can be used to supplement regular classroom instruction, or as a Tier 2 resource for students that need more support.
Most schools have some or all grade levels available. The teadcher resource is hard copy, and in most grades, the student resource is online pdf (licenses were provided to schools) except the Grade 1/2 kit which comes with large teaching cards.
Leaps and Bounds is organized by concept, and there are curriculum link documents that help align the material to the Saskatchewan Curriculum.
Each concept begins with a quick diagnostic that identifies the type and level of interention the student needs, and then outlines how to provide the intervention. SSSTs were trained on the use of this resource, and it is available to classroom teachers as well.

Key Math 3 is a Tier 3 resource that includes a statistically referenced diagnostic assessment that provides a very detailed report of a student's abilities and conceptual gap. The assessment is mostly oral and takes about 60 - 90 minutes, administered by a staff member trained in Key Math assessment (Math ILC, Student Services Coordinator, or trained SST/Admin). The student's results are entered into Key Math software which generates a detailed report and customized curriculum that becomes the basis for interventions administered with the Key Math Essential Resources teaching tools. Key Math is effective at determining a learner's "zone of proximal development" and targeting teaching materials to provide appropriate instruction that is challenging but not overwhelming. While it is not aligned to the Saskatchewan Curriculum, it is intended to build student understanding and skills so that they can enter curricular instruction.
If you have a student that you think needs a Key Math assessment and intervention program, contact your SSST, Student Services Coordinator, or Math Instruction and Learning Consultant.
