The 2026-2027 school year calendar was developed by the representatives from Christ the Teacher Catholic School Division, Good Spirit School Division, Christ the Teacher Teachers' Association, and Good Spirit Teachers' Association. Following an online survey conducted in January and Ministerial confirmation that the calendar meets all legislated requirements, the Christ the Teacher Catholic School Board has approved the 2026-2027 school calendar.
2026-2027 Christ the Teacher Catholic Schools Calendar
Defined Requirements:
The Saskatchewan Education Act requires the following:
- A minimum of 950 hours of instructional time per year;
- Six weeks of summer vacation;
- Post Labour Day student start time, with an exception if Labour Day falls on September 5 or later;
- Christmas break that begins no later than December 23 and ends no sooner than January 2;
- A spring break with no more than 5 consecutive days excluding Good Friday.
Highlights include:
- September 2 class start date
- Fall Inservices & holidays: October 9 & 12; November 11, 2026
- Christmas Break from Monday, December 21 through Monday, January 4 inclusive.
- Semester turn-around January 29, 2027.
- February Break - February 15-19, 2027
- Easter Break - Friday, March 26 - Friday, April 2 inclusive.
- Spring Inservices & holidays - May 24 & 25
- Final day of classes - June 25, 2027.
